Care Summary
The Barrier Reef Clownfish is a GBR and Coral Sea endemic that gives you that classic clownfish look with the brown base tone that distinguishes it from the typical orange ocellaris or percula. It takes readily to bubble tip anemones in captivity, and a healthy Entacmaea relationship turns this fish into a confident, entertaining display animal. Aggression toward tankmates near its anemone host is real, but it is manageable in tanks large enough to give other fish space to stay outside the territory. Captive-bred specimens are available and are the far better choice over wild-caught for hardiness and parasite resistance.
