Stratocasters zoanthids
Care Summary
Community submission
Stratocasters Zoanthids are a named collector morph with layered, multicolor patterning on the skirts that shifts depending on lighting angle — they have strong visual depth that separates them from flat single-color zoa morphs. Mid-tank placement with medium light and moderate flow; the intermediate rating reflects that named morphs can be sensitive to acclimation stress compared to commodity zoanthids, not that care mechanics are complex. Zoanthid toxin warning applies regardless of morph — always glove up when handling, especially when fragging; the palytoxin risk is consistent across the genus and Stratocasters are no exception. Feed weekly with a zooplankton-sized coral food broadcast into the water column and let the polyps capture passively; supplement with targeted spot feeding monthly to push growth and division of this slower-spreading morph.
