Red people eater zoanthids
Care Summary
Community submission
Red People Eater Zoanthids are a classic named morph with saturated red skirts and contrasting centers — the color reads well from across the room under blue-heavy lighting and they're genuinely easy to keep and grow. Bottom placement with medium light and moderate flow; People Eaters adapt well but will show their best red coloration under medium PAR rather than high intensity that shifts the pigmentation. Like all zoanthids, handle with gloves — zoanthid toxins (palytoxin) are no joke and you don't want mucus contact with cuts or your eyes; this is a standard reef safety rule, not paranoia. Feed the colony weekly with a fine coral food and watch for pest zoa-eating nudibranchs on any new additions to the tank; People Eaters are popular enough that they attract hitchhiker pests more often than obscure morphs.
