Mohawks zoanthids
Care Summary
Community submission
Mohawks Zoanthids are a named morph with elongated center tentacles that give each polyp a pronounced raised profile — the structural variation from standard flat-center zoas makes them visually interesting even from a distance. Bottom placement with medium light and moderate flow; the tall center structure needs enough flow to stay clean but not so much that the polyps stay perpetually clamped. Fast growth is this morph's defining trait — Mohawks will spread across frag plugs, rocks, and onto unintended surfaces quickly, so place them where you're comfortable with their eventual footprint. Feed weekly with a broadcast zooplankton food and watch the colony spread; fast-growing zoas reward regular feeding with colony size increases you can actually measure month over month, making them satisfying beginner corals even if you've been in the hobby a while.
