Green Star Polyp

Briareum violaceum, commonly sold as Green Star Polyp, is one of the fastest-spreading corals in the hobby — a vivid green carpet that moves fast. Mid-tank or on a frag rack under moderate light with medium flow; GSP will extend its polyps almost anywhere with decent circulation. The classic mistake is placing it directly on your display rock — it encrusts over everything and becomes nearly impossible to remove, so mount it on an isolated frag plug or rock island. No feeding required; clean water and consistent lighting is all it needs, and honestly the harder job is managing its spread than keeping it alive.
