Green bubble coral
Plerogyra sinuosa
Care Summary

Green Bubble Coral is a reliable, visually striking LPS — the pearlescent green vesicles inflate impressively under blue lighting and the contrast between inflated bubbles and retracted night-time sweepers makes it endlessly interesting to observe. Mid to bottom placement with medium indirect light and genuinely low-to-medium flow; the vesicles are sensitive to current and will stay perpetually retracted in strong flow, defeating the entire visual purpose of keeping the coral. Plerogyra deploys long sweeper tentacles at night — reaching six inches or more — and is one of the more aggressive LPS in the hobby; position it with that reach in mind and check neighboring corals for sting marks in the morning. Feed meaty foods directly to the tissue between vesicles two nights a week; bubble corals benefit significantly from targeted feeding and will inflate larger and more consistently when nutrients are good.
