Florida Acropora

Florida Acropora is an Indo-Pacific bottlebrush species with dense radial corallites and tight branch clustering — it's a workhorse display coral that colors up in vivid greens and blues under quality LED or T5 hybrid lighting. Top placement with strong, non-directional flow is where it thrives; give it room because colonies get wide and will shade anything underneath them. The acclimation phase is where most people lose this species — it's sensitive to rapid light changes, so start it lower and move it up over three weeks rather than dropping it straight into high PAR. Feed fine zooplankton weekly and maintain alkalinity at 8.5 to 9.5 dKH without swings; florida is less forgiving of chemistry instability than most SPS hobbyists expect.
