Fire Coral

Millepora dichotoma is a hydrozoan fire coral that can deliver a painful sting upon skin contact due to its nematocysts. It forms branching colonies and is an important reef builder in the Indo-Pacific. In aquaria it requires high flow and lighting but is sensitive to water chemistry fluctuations.
