Finger Leather Coral

Sinularia polydactyla grows into a striking multi-fingered tree form that can dominate a mid-tank display with the right time and placement. Moderate light and medium flow in the mid-tank; give it vertical space to develop its branching structure, because it gets large. The challenge is the same as most Sinularia — it produces compounds that irritate nearby stony corals, and in a smaller system that chemical load adds up fast without activated carbon. No direct feeding; prune it back periodically as it grows and use the frags as trades — Sinularia polydactyla frags move well in the hobby.
