Edwardsi Brain Coral

Goniastrea edwardsi is a solid, dense brain coral with tightly meandering valleys — it's not flashy, but it's one of the most dependable LPS you can put on a sandbed. Bottom placement under moderate light with medium flow; it's adaptable to a range of conditions and doesn't need any special positioning to do well. Alkalinity is its weak point — consistent alk is more important than hitting a specific number, and swings are what cause tissue recession in this genus. Target feed every week or two with mysis or reef roids; consistent feeding visibly thickens the tissue over months.
