Digitata Acropora
Acropora digitifera
Care Summary
Digitifera Acropora builds low, spreading colonies with distinctive corymbose branching — short, even branches with blunt tips that fan out horizontally, making it one of the more architecturally interesting flat-growth Acros in the hobby. Top placement with high, diffused light and strong chaotic flow; the flat spreading habit means it needs even lighting across its full surface to color up uniformly. Uneven lighting is the main failure mode — one side brighter than the other and you'll get half a coral, with bleaching on the overlit side and browning on the shaded side. Feed fine particulate foods twice a week and watch your magnesium alongside alkalinity — digitifera is a heavy calcium user during its horizontal growth phases.
