Cyphastrea Coral

Cyphastrea serailia is an encrusting LPS that thrives in low-light spots other corals ignore — it's the go-to species for filling shaded rockwork with something colorful and legitimate. Bottom placement in lower-light zones with medium flow; this is genuinely one of the most shade-tolerant stony corals in the hobby, so use that to your advantage. Its peaceful nature means placement is flexible, but watch for detritus accumulation on its flat surface — trapped sediment leads to tissue recession in patches. Light target feeding with rotifers or reef roids a couple times a week supports faster encrusting growth and richer base color.
